Drumcree Parish Church and Corick House Wedding : Amanda & Gareth
Hannah and I both LOVE weddings. There is a real buzz from taking part in someone’s big day. It is what drives me to do what I do, I love the hit! That is why when we are invited to be part of a really beautiful day I consider myself so lucky to do what I do. Amanda and Gareth’s wedding was one of those days. It was a pleasure to work with such a laid back couple who made both of us feel right at home. Amanda got ready at home and absolutely loved Amanda’s stunning bouquet from The Flower Shop Portadown. Then it was off to the church at the COI in Drumcree… We were made to feel even more at home, because the minister performing the service happened to be the groom’s father.
There was a bit of rain, but that didn’t down anybody’s spirits and even the local Boy’s & Girl’s Bridgade showed up to see the couple off! How cool was that.
As with any wedding day, they can be long and we even had time for sneaky cup of tea and a scone in the church hall after the service 🙂
After refreshments, I took the bridal party off for a few shots – we didn’t walk far as Gareth’s sister (one of the bridesmaids) was due to have a little baby the next day! (Actually, she had the baby on the night of the wedding! How amazing!) – A fun and friendly bridal party makes life even easier and “Team Bridal Party” were great 🙂 Before heading off, I took the bride and groom to the back of the church and got some lovely intimate shots of them together sitting on a step. (I must say, we also spent the day working with Raymond from AR Media, the videographer – who also made the day a breeze)
The reception was held at the beautiful country venue, Corick House Hotel. It has to be one of my favourite places to photograph as there are just so many nooks and crannies to get great shots – no matter the weather! The car guys were great and they even stayed for us to get some really unique shots of the bride and groom inside the car… (We had to make sure the handbrake was on of course!!!)
The weather stayed good for us and out and about around the ground we went… I also have to say a big thanks to the groomsmen who helped us out with getting the bride up a tree for my favourite photo of the day, as she kicked her shoes off and looked great hanging off a branch! Thanks for that Amanda… Not every bride would do that, but I think you will agree it was worth it 🙂
As usual, my beautiful assistant… (fiancee Hannah) was a star with assisting with the lighting for the indoor shots). Anyhow, here we go… here are my favourites from the day… (It is a pic heavy post as there were loads!)
UPDATE! as you can see from the pictures one of the bridesmaids (Gareth’s Sister) was heavily pregnant, Well it turns out that she was taken to the hospital that evening from the reception and gave birth to a healthy baby.
