Quirky Ulster Folk Museum Wedding: Amanda & Josh
I know you guys all know how much we LOVE the folk park, so when Amanda and Josh contacted me about capturing their wedding day there and after speaking to them for 2 minutes and finding out that they Love it there just as much as we do we couldn’t want to photograph their day.
We started the day with Amanda and her ladies at Amanda’s parents house in Newtownards. we got some great detail shots of Amanda’s dress from Eden Bridal, her shoes and her gifts for the ladies, Don’t you just love this one of her flower girl Carysa looking on don’t you. We headed outside to get some shots of the flowers as it was such a lovely day and so thought we would make the most of the great weather. We got some lovely shots of the girls putting on their make up before it was time for us to hit the read and meet up with Josh.
We arrived at the Folk park and headed straight into the Presbyterian Meeting house where the ceremony was going to take place to get some of the detail shots before taking Josh and his lads along the main street to get some casual shots of them before the guests arrived.
It wasn’t long before Amanda and her ladies arrived expertly chauffeured by Acorn Limousines we got some lovely shots of Amanda, in the cars with her father and outside the meeting house with her mum and her bridesmaids before it was time to get the ceremony underway.
The Wedding itself was conducted by Pastor Jim Connolly and it was really moving ceremony, it was really clear to everyone just how much Amanda and Josh mean to one another. During the signing of the regiser they had asked a friend to sing which was very moving and made everyone feel very much part of the day.
Following the ceremony Amanda and Josh had arranged come confetti canons which made for some great shots of them, we then headed back upto the main part of the town with the bridal party. We spent a little while with them before they headed on to the Cultra Manor. We then spent about a hour with Amanda and Josh wandering around the town area of the park. WE only headed back to the manor when we said that we had to go, I think Josh would have kept going right up to dinner!
We headed on down to the manor and got some great family shots and a group shot before we headed in for speeches and dinner.
Everyone headed into the fantastic function room of the Cultra Manor for the speaches and for dinner,
Following Dinner we all headed down stairs for Amanda and Josh’s first dance. it was a lovely end to a fantastic day, we headed home leaving everyone else to party the night away.
