Elegant Parisian Tullyglass House Hotel Wedding: Lauren & Matthew
Lauren and Matthew had booked us for their Tullyglass House Hotel wedding way, way back in 2013!! Yes 2013 everyone! They are officially the longest booking we have ever had and for the last few years at the start of every new year we have been saying “Is Lauren and Matthew’s wedding this year?”… and eventually it was!We
We started of the day at Lauren’s parent’s house, getting the all the little morning details, including Lauren’s stunning Stella York Dress from LA Bridal and her shoes and jewellery. We were able to keep busy doing all these details while the girls were still away at hair salon having their hair done (by the fabulous Geraldine McGuigan). The girls got back just before it was time for us to go, but we managed to make time to get some gorgeous shots of Lauren before it was time to head to the Church and meet up with Matthew and his lads.
We arrived at Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Belfast and headed straight in to get all the little details that Lauren and Matthew had arranged for their guests – including the confetti and the goodie bags for the road trip to the reception at the Tullyglass House Hotel after the service. Soon enough the boys arrived and we got some great urban shots of them in the streets around the church and the grounds themselves.
Lauran didn’t want to keep Matthew waiting and soon her ladies arrived expertly driven by the lads from David Andrews Wedding Cars. Before the bride arrived though, we got some quick shots with Lauren’s Mum, Dad and Bridesmaids before we headed on into and the ceremony began.
(Hannah’s quick side note: Lauren and Matthew inspired us for our own wedding, as we were struggling to pick music for me and my own bridesmaids to walk in to. Lauren had this beautiful song to guide her and her ladies in. After hearing it sung by their friends, it really struck a note with us and we included it in our wedding too.)Their Ceremony got
Their ceremony got under way and I think you can really tell here in these shots just how happy they both were on the day. It was full of personal touches including a lovely piece sung by Lauren’s bridesmaids during the signing of the register.
Following the Ceremony we got some shots of the flowers from Rosemary Andrews and some relaxed candid shots of Lauren and Matthew chatting to their guests who all had a bag of confetti each to throw! Can you tell Graham loves confetti shots?!
It was soon on the road and we made our way to the tranquil setting of the Tullyglass House Hotel in Galgorm. We all arrived at the Tullyglass and hit the ground running heading straight into the function room to get all the little details Lauren had arranged in the room for her Paris exhibition theme. We got some great shots of their cake from Sprinkles and Crumbs too before we headed out with the couple around the grounds of the Tullyglass.
We started at the front of the building in the side garden before we headed off to the folly and around to the pagoda at the back of the hotel. Lauren looks absolutely stunning in these shots and Matthew doesn’t look half bad either 🙂 We had a great time out in the gardens with the guys, who were super co-operative. We had a blast with them.
The hotel isn’t just pictureque on the outside, it has some great features inside too. So we headed up to their room and actually grabbed a prop from one of Lauren’s table centres and got these super gorgeous shots of them before it was time to head down for dinner.
Everyone went in for dinner and the speeches began. They were really funny and heart felt. Matthew’s boys had a great sense of humour. Following dinner the room was turned around and the boys set up the DJ equipment and the dancing got under way. We got some great shots of the dancing before it was time for us to head off home too. I guess it won’t be too long before we are saying “Flip, Lauren and Matthew’s wedding… yeah, that was LAST year!” 😉
