Colourful Sligo and Fermanagh Wedding: Leigh & Iain
Leigh and Iain booked us a while back and we had been really looking forward to their wedding you all know how much Graham loves to get to do a Fermanagh Wedding! we as usual set off the night before and stayed locally so we would be fresh and relaxed ready for the big day. We started the day with Leigh and her ladies at Leigh’s parents house just outside Tempo, We foolishly trusted google maps on the way there and needless to say had to stop and ask for directions twice though!
We eventually found the house and got stuck in straight away with the shots of Leigh’s dress we got some great shots of it and the bridesmaids dresses and of the individually named hangers that Leigh had arranged for the girls. While the girls we getting their hair and makeup done by Julie Stubbs and Emma Robinson from Headrush. We got some great sneaky shots of them, before we headed outside with Leigh’s flowers from Blooming Lovely. The girls were super organised and had started to get ready by by the time we got back in with the flowers, but Leigh had a super kind chief bridesmaid Sara, who offered to take off her jewelry so we could a few shots of it. There was just enough time for us to get some lovely images of Leigh getting into her dress before it was time to head off to the church to meet up with Iain and his lads.
We arrived at the church and got straight on to the photos of the boys. We took them around the side of the church while the guests started to arrive. While the guests were chatting we nipped inside and took some shots of the inside and of the flowers and of the other little details Leigh had arranged around the church. Soon enough the ladies were on their way, driven in the beautiful vintage cars from Gerard McGirr wedding cars. We took a few minutes with the bridesmaids and then with Leigh and her Dad in the cars before it was time for the ceremony to start.
The service was lovely it was performed by the Rev. Jane Nelson, It included two rousing hymns and 2 bible readings read by the brothers of the bride and groom. Following the service there was an ice-cream cart outside for all the guests to take advantage of before we all we all headed off to Castle Dargan .
WE arrived at Dargan Castle and nipped into the Ormsby Room where the reception was held and got some all the little details covered while the couple got a drink and a chat with their guests. We then headed off out with the couple for their shots. We started around the side of the hotel before heading out to the old house and on to the golf course. Leigh and Iain were brilliant sports and we got some cracking shots of them.
We got back up to the hotel and get some shots with the bridal party and with the families before we did a group shot of everyone just before it was time to head into dinner.
The dinner was preceded by the speeches they were lovely really heartfelt and funny. Following dinner was dancing we got some lovely shots of the first dance and then left everyone partying the night away to Anthem the band including who include Hannah’s good mate Grace! We left Anthem belting out the hits and we headed off home.
