Frequently Asked Questions

Are you a full-time photographer?

Yes, my profession is in photography.

What is your photographic style?

It is hard to say what my photographic style is, as a wedding consists of so many different parts. You can get a good sense of my overall style by viewing the images on this site and also by seeing complete books and albums when you attend a consultation with me.

What wedding albums do you offer?

I offer a range of storybook and overlay albums. All of my albums are made individually to order in the United Kingdom and my range of luxury albums are made locally in Northern Ireland by Graham Photographic of Hillsborough. I also offer a range of Memory Books (storybook coffee table books). Please ask about replacing your album with one of these for an individual quote.

What camera do you use?

For those tech-heads, my main camera is a Sony A900 24-megapixel full-frame DSLR. I also have backup cameras and equipment to cover any equipment failures, if they occur.

Can I see pictures from a complete wedding?

Of course! Arrange a consultation at our studio and I can show you complete wedding books and albums.

What other products do you offer?

I offer an extensive range of products as package add-ons. These include framed prints, canvas wraps, wall acrylics, thank you cards and even postage stamps!

How long do you stay at the wedding?

The length of coverage depends on which package you book. Our regular coverage is from the Bridal Preparations in the morning, until the Wedding Breakfast. This includes photographs before and during the wedding ceremony, formal pictures, photographs with the bride and groom, some candid shots of your guests and any pre-dinner speeches. If you would like extended coverage, my Aria and Opera packages includes coverage up until the First Dance. Additional coverage can be added to my other packages as an extra, if required.

Do we get all the pictures printed?

All packages include your photographs on DVD – allowing you to make your own prints, whenever you want. Some packages also include printed proofs (for you to keep) of all of your images.

Do we have to meet you to book?

You don’t have to, however I find that booking a wedding photographer is about much more than hiring some whose photographs you like. You spend all day with your photographer on your wedding day, so it is important to see that we get on and click. The only way to truely tell if you click with someone is to meet them in person.

Do you travel?

Yes, I am available to work all over Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the UK. For weddings within 25 miles of Belfast there is no travel charge. For weddings outside this area there is a charge of 50p per mile (there and back).

How many formal photographs do you take?

Formal photographs are an important part of any wedding day. We ask the Bride and Groom to think about which photographs they would like an create a ‘Must Have Shot List’ (from which we can work on the day). Due to the length of time a long list of formal photographs can take, we encourage couples to keep their list to around 10-15 different groupings.

Do you visit the locations before the day?

Yes. If I am photographing somewhere new I always go to visit before the wedding day itself. Often I also like to re-visit venues that I am familiar with as it gives us a chance to discuss the finer details of your day and to plan how we get the best out of it.

How can we book you?

To book, simply call the studio on 028 90 99 77 98 or drop me an email. In order to hold your date, I will need a 30% non-refundable retainer and a signed contract.

Are you insured?

Yes. I have public liability, professional indemnity and equipment coverage.
