Asian Inspired Lusty Beg Island Wedding: Juli & Conan
We first met Juli and Conan at the Wedding Journal Show in Belfast last year. Juli (a graphic designer) loved our unique picnic themed stand and our brochure (So when a graphic designer praises a photographer for their printed materian, then something must be right) 🙂 Anyhow, in the beginning when they booked there was talk of the date changing and even the location for the ceremony, but that was not a problem to us at all. After some head scratching from the bride and groom and some chatting to the venue they managed to get everything sorted and the date was set for their big day, on the luxurious private island of Lusty Beg.
With Juli being a stickler to detail, everything was planned with precision. The only thing you couldn’t organise was for the rain to stay away! And did it rain that day over Lough Erne… in the bucket full! 😉 But it didn’t stop anyone having a great day and enjoying the fantastic scenery.
Hannah and I had a lovely lie in on the morning of the wedding, as we stayed over the night before only just down the road! 😉 Actually we arrived a wee bit early at Lusty Beg as we wanted to spend some time with the guys before they got ready. As we arrived we found Conan and his dad putting the finishing touches to the decorations around the bar hanging all sorts of things, including fairy lights and Chinese lanterns.
After all the final details were finished, Conan, his crowd, Hannah and myself headed off to the games room for some pre-wedding fun and relaxation. While we were there, the heavens opened and we all we could do was just sit back and enjoy the games… as we were all going nowhere!
Finally, when the rain stopped for a bit the boys headed back to their lodge to get in to their finery and Hannah and I headed to meet the girls – who were getting pampered at the exclusive island spa.
I love doing bridal preps at the salon. They are just such a hive of activity and the atmosphere is just so relaxing. I also love bridal preps in the morning as it is a chance to say hello to all the girls and really get involved in the craic. If only there was time to get my hair done too! 😉
Once finished with the girls, Hannah and I headed back to the lodge to meet the boys for so pre-wedding nerve shots – and of course, mid way through the heavens opened again.
What do you think of the shot of Conan and his boys getting drenched?!
We shook ourselves off and headed back to see Juli. We loved all the little personal touches she had made, including a personalised hand made hanger with her name on it to hang her dress on.

I don’t think we can say how amazing Graham and Hannah are in this review! But we are so glad we found Graham! We’re not one to pose for photos. Come the wedding day, it felt like a pleasure to have Graham and Hannah at the wedding! Our guests loved them, Graham is fun and enthusiastic, but also discrete!
