Quirky Comic Book Themed St. Mary’s Church Strabane & Ballyliffin Hotel Wedding: Louise & Brendan

Louise and Brendan chose to get married up in Louise’s home town of Strabane, holding there Quirky Comic Book themed wedding at St. Mary’s Church Strabane and then hold there reception at the Ballyliffin Hotel in Ballyliffin in Donegal We arrived at Louise’s parents house first thing on this lovely sunny morning and get start down to work getting all the little details including Louise’s stunning dress from Ultimate Dresses Dungiven isn’t it a corker! Louise is the only our 2nd bride to ever chose a shorter dress and I absolutely love them!  the bridesmaids dresses were from the high street store Monsoon and looked absolutely brilliant along side them.

Louise was all about the details and been as you would be able to see her feet under her lovely short dress she chose these stunning Vivienne Westwood Shoes.

While getting all the little details we also got some great shots of Louise and her girls getting ready is the flower girls hair just stunning!

we headed back outside with Louise’s bouquet provided by Aileen Maire Boyle (Funky Flowers) and got some lovely shots of them around the garden.  It was soon time for us to head off and meet up with the boys at the St. Mary’s Church Strabane though.  When we arrived there we got some more great shots of the flowers decorating the outside of the chapel.

Soon enough though Brendan arrived in style courier of his surprise gift from the bridesmaids of the fabulous campervan! we got some great shots of Brendan in the van before head off with him and his men around the grounds of the chapel.

It was no time at all before the girls arrived in the Champagne Moments cars we got some great shots of thebridesmaids and Louise’s mum before Louise and her dad arrived.

There was just enough time to get some quick shots of the bridal party before it was time to head on in for the ceremony.

The Ceremony was both touching and funny and Fr. Michael Doherty made everyone feel very welcome. There were some lovely moments between the couple that we managed to catch throughout the service.

Before we all headed off from the Chapel we got everyone outside to get a group shot as it was quite a long drive to Ballyliffin Hotel. We also managed to sneak in a couple of great shots of Louise and Brendan in the camper before it too headed off.

We had discussed with Louise and Brendan about their couple and Bridal party shots before the wedding day and planned to stop at fawn beach on the way through Donegal, we arrived there and headed around the harbour end of the beach and found this fantastic half built building which was just great for getting shots.

Louise had also got hold of some brilliant large balloons for the day and arranged with the bridemaids to bring them with them for the photos,  don’t they just look amazing here!

We then headed on around to the beach itself stopping here and there to get some shots of the gang,  Louise had thought of everything even arranging for wellington boots  and sun glasses for all the girls!

Louise was an absolute trooper and did everything and more we asked of her she even climbed up onto the broken down pier to get some of these great shots.

we headed back up off the sand and back to the ship yard to get some great shots before it was time for everyone to hit the road again on the  hotel.

We arrived at the hotel and headed straight on into the function room while the couple got their breath back and mingled with their guests, as I’m sure you can tell Louise and Brendan are huge comic fans and had DIY’d all the room decorations and seating plan themselves using their favourite comics.

Louise and Brendan had arranged a very special wedding cake one that reminded Brendan of his childhood,  made by the fantastic Truly Scrumptious cakes of Omagh was their amazing rainbow cake!

Finally to top off their unique and quirky wedding, once all the guests were seated for dinner it was time for the bridal party to make their entrance and what an entrance it was with all the boys wearing different super hero masks topped off by the groom as Iron man his favourite. once everyone was settled dinner was served and it was time for us to head off.
