Early Spring Tullylagan House Hotel Wedding: Judith & Michael

Judith and Michael planned their early spring Tullylagan House Hotel wedding for the middle of March, and what a lovely day it was. We started the day bright and early leaving Belfast and shooting on down the M1 to Banbridge to meet up with Judith and her family at Judith’s mum and dad’s house. We arrived and after we said our good morning’s we nabbed Judths sister and bridesmaid Louise (who on a side note knows Hannah from her other Job at Deloitte… a very small world) to show us around. We then got stuck into photos of the details… the dresses were from Ladybelle Bridal, Gilford. Judith wore a stunning dress by Pronovias – White One, the shoes from Dune and jewellery which went perfectly. We then headed downstairs and got some great shots of the girls getting their hair and make-up done. Hair by was by the lovely Joanne McKelvey Hair  and beautiful faces by Amy Savage MUA. We then nipped outside with lovely spring time flowers provided by Ditsy Floral Wedding Flowers. (PS: You will love Judith’s bouquet). We had just enough time to get some emotional shots of Judith and her wee boys… don’t they look smart? Before it was time for us to hit the road and head off to the Tullylagan House Hotel to meet the boys.

We arrived at the hotel with plenty of time to get some causal shots of the Michael and his lads before the guests started to arrive. We snook off into the gardens with them… and I think you will agree they look very dashing in their suits which they purchased from Groom Formal Hire. We were also able to get some great casual shots of Michael with the guests before it was time for everyone to head in just before the ladies all arrived. When the bridemaids and Judith’s mum arrived, it was time to get some shots of the girls before the bride and her father arrived.in the stunning wedding cars driven by Groom Wedding Cars

Graham loves photos in the car and it was a great chance to get some shots of Judith and her father just before his daughter walked down the aisle. The ceremony was performed by the local Cookstown registrar and it was a lovely service. Following the service there was tea and buns (nom nom nom) served for all the guests while the bride and groom nipped off for a quick drive in the cars to relax after the ceremony. A perfect chance for me to grab a cup of tea for Graham while we waited for the couple to return.

Once the couple were back we headed off around the Grounds of the Tullylagan House Hotel. This was the first wedding Graham had photographed at this venue. We got these absolutely stunning shots of the couple and Judith was a total star too… not minding a bit when we kept asking her to sit down on the ground in her beautiful white dress dress (on our towel of course). 🙂 We first started around the front of the hotel before heading off into the gardens and across the bridge. Tullylagan has some fab gardens and lots of little nooks and crannies. Following the couple shots we did the family photographs and the ones of the bridal party before heading on in to see the room and to do our “fake cake” cutting of their gorgeous and very yummy cake from Yummy Mummy Cakes

Just before dinner we got everyone outside for one quick group shot and got everyone to blow bubbles that Judith and Michael had arranged. Then it was time to head in for speeches. The speeches were very funny including some very memorable moments from the bride’s childhood. Everyone had a great time, and then it was time for dinner to be served!

Following dinner there was a cake cutting for real, then everyone headed back out to the bar while the Tullylagan staff turned the room around for dancing. We stayed on to the dancing and Judith and Michael danced their first dance to “Kiss me” by Sixpence None the Richer. Then it was time to leave everyone partying and for us to hit the road in our little car back to Belfast…
