Rustic Classic Mill at Ballydugan Wedding: Gemma & David

Gemma and David held their Rustic Classic wedding at the Mill in Ballydugan, We started the day up in Bangor with Gemma and her ladies at her parents house. We got some lovely shots of the girls getting their hair and make-up done by The Dressing Room and Makeup By O’Lovely then we nipped off upstairs and took some time to get all the details of Gemma’s Paloma Blanca Dress from Jenny Lindop and of course the Bridesmaids dresses too. We then popped back down and got took their fantastic Ruby Shoo shoes outside onto the front lawn and got these great images of them before we headed around to the back of the house to capture the flowers which were made especially for Gemma by a family friend Barbara Magee. Gemma’s dad is a big music fan and has quite the guitar collection so we of course couldn’t resist using one of them as a backdrop for Gemma’s jewellery. Soon it was time for the girls to get ready and for us to head off to the Mill but before we went we snook in and got these great shots of Gemma in her dress.

We headed off to meet up with David and his lads at the Mill. The boys arrived in style for sure! One of David’s Groomsmen had secrectly been doing up David’s well loved Honda which had been off the road for quite a long time as a gift to him for the wedding so David was over the moon to arrive in it all working and like new. We started off with the boys around the courtyard of the mill before heading the grounds getting theses great shots before the guests started to arrive.

Soon enough it was time for the girls arrive expertly driven by Unity Wedding Cars we got straight on with the shots of Gemma and Her bridesmaids and dad at the cars and around the courtyard of the mill, We had a little bit longer than usual to do this as the registrar was running a little behind and the bride actually arrived before her so we too our time with the ladies while the guys at the Mill reassured  poor David upstairs that Gemma hadn’t stood him up 🙂 soon enough Elizabeth the registrar arrived and the ceremony got underway.

The Ceremony was lovely it was held up on the 2nd floor of the mill, this was the 1st tie we have been to a wedding with the ceremony up there and it was really really nice the guests were seated in a semi circle around the room with the isle in the middle.

Following the ceremony we all headed outside to meet up with the surprise guests that Gemma’s mum had arranged, she had sneakily primed up in the morning that this was happening and so we were able to get out in front of the couple to get these great reaction shots when we got outside and  standing there to meet us were their 2 horses and Wilson the dog. This made Gemma and David’s day as they thought that Wilson had gone to the kennels for a week.

When we were done with the horses and Wilson the dog went on down to the new Gardens that the mill has built this year and we can honestly say they are fantastic, a great addition to the venue. We spent a little while longer with the couple there getting these stunning shots, Gemma was such a sport willing to take her shoes off and everything for us! we nipped over road at the cottage too before we headed back to them mill of the family pictures.

Soon enough it was time for speeches and dinner the speeches were really funny as I think you can tell from the photos. During dinner however that the crucial Northern Ireland V’s Wales and a lot of the men at the wedding kept sneaking down the see the game.
