Social Media Content Assistant – JobStart Scheme

Specialising in High-end, beautifully framed portraiture, we focus on both people and pets, bringing out their distinct personalities in every shot. Our studio is known for its dedication to quality and a friendly, inviting atmosphere. We are seeking a motivated and creative Social Media Content Assistant to join our team. This role involves scheduling, creating, and managing content across multiple social media platforms, assisting in digital marketing initiatives, and supporting day-to-day studio operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for digital content creation and a keen interest in social media trends, with the ability to contribute to our brand’s online presence and overall marketing strategy. .

  • Schedule and publish content across various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Edit and create short-form content such as reels and TikTok videos, capturing client experiences and behind-the-scenes activities.
  • Design digital marketing materials, including graphics for social media posts and advertisements.
  • Develop engaging copy for social media posts and advertising campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director to develop and implement social media strategies.
  • Execute monthly content plans aligning with product objectives and initiatives.
  • Participate in campaign planning and creative brainstorming sessions with the marketing team.
  • Analyse social media trends and perform competitor analysis to enhance strategy.
  • Provide regular reports on social media engagement and the effectiveness of different content strategies.
  • Assist in strategies to grow the follower base across various platforms.
  • Support day-to-day studio operations as needed, which may include setting up photography equipment, preparing for photo sessions, and assisting clients.
Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Knowledge of social media platforms.
  • Computer literate (Windows) Basic knowledge of email, data entry, word processing etc.
  • Interest in creating content for social media.
  • Being able to adhere to company brand identity.
  • Being able to work as part of a team, but also able to manage your own time.
  • Ability to take on feedback and adapt work accordingly.
  • GCSE Maths & English to C level or equivalent.

Desirable Skills

  • Prior knowledge or experience with design tools (i.e. Canva, Photoshop etc).
  • Basic image editing skills (e.g. resizing, cropping images).
  • Experience using ChatGPT to assist with content creation and problem solving.
  • Graphic design experience.
  • Some knowledge of social media platform analytics and advertisement platform analytics.
  • Knowledge of both Android and iPhone for social media content creation.
Further Information

The Employer is: GRAHAM CRICHTON PHOTOGRAPHY LIMITED. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
